St. Pius X College student present innovative gaming skills at Intel Summit

Two Year 13 students from St. Pius X College, Mateusz Bartoszek and Luke O’Kane were selected by Intel (Europe) to present their gaming skills at the 12th Intel Education Summit in London.  Mr Duffy (Head of Post-16 and Intel Education Ambassador) travelled with the students to showcase the work of St. Pius X College in this global forum.

Ballynahinch schools visit W5

Year 10 pupils in the Ballynahinch Learning Community attended W5 at the SSE Arena, Belfast to participate in a Force of Course Show. Schools included St Colman's High and Sixth Form College, Assumption Grammar School, St Colmcille's High School, Crossgar and Ballynahinch High School.

All pupils had an exciting and awe-inspiring day participating in a range of practical activities and then after attended the Force of Course lecture and performance.

St Oliver Plunkett Primary School, Belfast receives E-Safety Mark

Assessors from the South West Grid for Learning (SWGL) recently visited St. Oliver Plunkett Primary School to review the school’s e-safety provision. The assessors met school staff, parents and carers, governors and pupils and were pleased to find that the school provides a high level of protection for users of the new technologies.

Swimming success for Carrick Primary school pupil

Congratulations to Rachel Kelly, a Primary 7 pupil, who travelled to Dublin recently to represent Carrick Primary School in the All Ireland Minor Schools' Swimming Competition.

Rachel won a Bronze Medal in the 50m Butterfly Event. Well done Rachel on this tremendous achievement.

Digital skills for St Patrick's College, Banbridge

Year 10 pupils in St. Patrick’s got the chance to learn more about the opportunities in the digital sector, hearing directly from local digital entrepreneurs. The Digital Teen session took place on Thursday, to 40 year 10 students from St Patrick’s College in Banbridge.

Success for GCSE students at St Patrick's College, Banbridge

Congratulations to GCSE Art and Design students Bernadene Kerr and Conor McAvoy from St. Patricks College who were presented with Celebrating Excellence Certificates  for achieving overall maximum marks in CCEA GCSE Art and Design 2015.  The school expressed its pride at both students and wished them every success in their future studies.
