It's nearly time for the annual Balmoral Show and as principal sponsors Ulster Bank are working in partnership with the Health & Safety Executive NI, the Farm Safety Partnership, and the Ulster Farmers Union to encourage children to be more aware of the risks that can arise when playing on a farm.
Ulster Bank are running a competition for pupils (aged 7-16) to create a story board for an animated video to illustrate potential dangers based around the Health and Safety Executive’s four main priority areas:
Entering is simply a case of completing a template storyboard illustrating ideas for the animated video.
There will be a winner picked, plus 5 runners up. The winner will have their story board made into an animated video to be launched at Balmoral Show and used by the organisations involved to promote farm safety in schools. The winner will also receive an iPad and a pass to take their entire class to the Balmoral Show. The 5 runners up will also receive a pass for their class for this year’s show.
So if you have any 'budding' artists or film makers in your class you can see full details on the competition (including T&Cs) and download the entry form via the attached link below:
Closing date for completed applications is Friday 14th April, 2017.
