Pupils at St.Mary’s Primary School, Divis Street are celebrating a double success. They have been awarded the Kellogg’s ‘Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle’ Breakfast Club of the Year Award at a special ceremony attended by pupils in the Houses of Parliament, and the school was also a runner up in the ICT Excellence Awards ( NI)2016 for 'Overcoming Barriers to Learning with Technology'.
“Going to London to collect our award was a fantastic experience that I will never forget”, said Primary 7 pupil Jim Braniff. Fellow pupil Cassandra Covaci was equally thrilled with the ICT Excellence Award, ‘ We made our own movies and presentations for the ICT Excellence Awards and were very happy to receive our award. We also received a wonderful letter of congratulations from Bishop Noel Treanor which was very exciting for everyone in our school.”
